Celebrating a rich heritage dating back to 1906, the West Louisiana Forestry Festival is a cornerstone of Vernon Parish’s culture, highlighting our deep-rooted traditions in agriculture, forestry, and community spirit. The pageant, now in its 73rd year, is a beloved tradition open exclusively to high school seniors from Vernon Parish schools and homeschool students. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows contestants to become part of a legacy that has brought joy, cherished memories, and a sense of nostalgia to our small-town community for generations.Contestants in the Senior Division will participate in several phases of competition, starting with an opening number that showcases our theme, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Forestry Festival Time."
